To benefit and entertain

Nordjyske Holding is a media and communications group dating as far back as 1767, when a group of priests in Aalborg published the pamphlet 'News for Your Benefit and Entertainment'. 200 years later, what had grown to become a local newspaper empire was converted to the Aalborg Stiftstidende Foundation to ensure free and independent media for the Aalborg area in the future.  25 years later, the Aalborg Stiftstidende Foundation, the Vendsyssel Tidende Foundation and Aalborg Medieselskab joined to form the company Nordjyske Holding. With a basis covering the entire North Jutland media world, Nordjyske Holding set out to build and develop media and communications companies - including companies supporting media and communications production. This has subsequently become an extensive enterprise with a portfolio of companies now realising revenue in excess of DKK 1bn and with business units across the world. This development is planned to continue, and the years ahead will witness a number of proactive initiatives from this company that is focused on development and has a sound financial background.
